A Not So Spooky Halloween Party

I don’t do creepy. I do cute and whimsical. Blood and guts are just not my thing.  Yesterday, I held a halloween party for my son, Carter, second grade class and a few siblings (I lost count after 30 kids!) . Of course I had cute games picked out (mind you I am not a game at parties kind of gal) but thought a fun scavenger hunt and mummy wrapping would be fun. Then it decided it was going to rain. Toilet paper, kids and a pumpkin patch do not mix so plan B took effect and we had it inside. Which was not a bad thing at all, here in Middletown we have and awesome place called Sweet Berry Farm (apple picking, christmas tree tagging, a cafe, and a organic grocery store) and now a Venue! They have held tented weddings here before, but now they have this AWESOME rustic looking room for all sorts of parties, I picture a lovely wine tasting rehearsal dinner taking place, so many possibilities. Check out the party!

The Invitation (used the graphics from my getting the party started party packs to create this)

FREE coloring sheets from Vale Design! So cute, the kids loved them!

Tables do not have to be a complete treat fest! Making healthy snacks desirable always helps. Pepper resembled a spider.

My kids Ellie (Little Red Riding Hood) and Carter (The big Bad Wolf)

Punch! SUPER easy recipe, and it looks like mad scientist potion
1 tub of lime sherbet
2 two liter bottles of sprite
empty tub of ice cream into clear tub, pour sprite on top of. Stir just a little and the bubbles will stay.

Vanilla Cake Pops!

Complete snack table (only candy was gummy worms, can you believe it?)
chips
pretzels
yogurt
fruit kabobs
cheese and crackers
veggies and dip
fruit roll ups
apples with gummy worms
cake pops

Easy to Make!

I have NEVER taken a picture of the after of a snack/dessert table….I just clean it up and that is it. This time I actually looked, and man it is NOT pretty!

yes…it was all gone!
